Metallurgical Laboratory
Our Metallurgical Laboratory offers a wide range of research, innovation, and development services tailored to the specific needs and objectives of our clients in the mining industry. We help clients optimize their processes and achieve their desired results.
To accomplish this, we have invested in state-of-the-art equipment, including JK Tech, Starkey SAG Design, UCS, BWi, CWi, Flotation Pilot Plant, Centrifugal and table concentrators, nanobubbles, physical separation, XRD, magnetic separator, and more. We can conduct testing at the laboratory and pilot scale, either offsite or onsite.
Comminution Testwork
"Comminution" refers to reducing the size of ore particles. Comminution tests predict energy requirements and costs for operating crushers and mills. They also help optimize energy distribution based on ore size breakage, reducing energy costs.
Our tests include Jk Drop Weight Test (DWi), SAG Design, Crush Work Index (CWi), Compressive Strength Test (UCS), Rod Mill Work Index (RWi), Bond Ball Mill Work Index (BWi), Abrasion Index (Ai), and Point Load Test (PLT).
Flotation Testwork
We provide mineral flotation test work for various ores, including base metals, precious metals, rare earth oxides, iron ore, phosphates, graphite, lithium, and vanadium.
Our services include customized bench- and pilot plant-scale froth flotation tests, optimization of the flotation process, and conducting locked-cycle flotation tests at bench and pilot scale for gathering data on metallurgical performance.
Hydrometallurgical Testwork
"Hydrometallurgy" is a chemical-based technique used in extractive metallurgy to recover metals from various sources.
Our services cover testing, flowsheet development, plant design, and equipment supply. We offer a wide range of tests such as Merrill-Crowe, leaching, detoxification, solvent extraction and electrowinning (SX/EW), among others. Our goal is to minimize risk and ensure project success for our customers.
Flotation Pilot Plant
Our continuous flotation pilot plant has a processing capacity of between 200 kg and 1 ton per day. The plant includes grinding flotation cells and a regrinding mill, which have been designed to be adaptable to the customer's flowsheet.
Thanks to its flexibility and the use of technology such as XRF, as well as the expertise of our specialists, we are able to evaluate flotation circuits with relatively small sample quantities and streamline process controls, thereby ensuring reliable test performance.
